About the session

This isn't a reassurance session ("your job is safe") or a scare session ("upskill or else"). It's an honest, practical workshop where people use AI to look at their own role, understand what's likely to change and build a plan.

It starts with the honest conversation: yes, AI will change roles, and the research is more nuanced than the headlines. AI tends to replace tasks rather than whole jobs, so the question is which tasks, and what takes their place.

Each person then uses an AI tool to break their role into tasks and sorts them: AI will do this, AI will help with this, or this stays human. Most people discover their role doesn't shrink, it shifts. Finally, everyone builds a short plan: one skill to develop this quarter, one AI tool to master and one task to start doing differently, with a partner to check in with in 30 days.

What to expect

  • A map of your own role: automate, assist or stays human
  • The skills and tasks that grow as others shrink
  • A personal plan with one skill, one tool and one new habit

Questions

Will it worry people?

It's designed to do the opposite. It's honest without being frightening, and people leave with a clear plan rather than vague anxiety.

Do people need an AI tool?

Yes. Everyone needs access to an AI chat tool to map their role. Let us know when you book if you don't have one.

Should managers attend?

It works especially well when managers join their teams, and even better when the organisation follows up with time and support for the plans people make.

How does a hosted virtual game work?

Everyone joins your usual video call. We split the group into teams of up to 10, each in its own breakout room with a dedicated host who shares the game on screen and types in the answers the team agrees on. A live leaderboard keeps the competition going.

How far ahead do we need to book?

At least 48 hours ahead, Monday to Friday. Same-day sessions are sometimes possible on request: book as usual and we will confirm as quickly as we can.

Is there a minimum or maximum group size?

There is no maximum. The minimum booking is £150 + VAT, so groups under 13 people pay the minimum.
