About the session

Your company's AI system has made a decision that's now all over the news. Your board has to agree what to do, and fast.

Each person takes a seat on the board: CEO, CFO, Chief Risk Officer, CTO, Chief People Officer or Chief Ethics Officer. Everyone gets a private role brief with their own priorities and pressures, so the people round the table want different things.

As the meeting goes on, your host brings in updates: news alerts, reactions on social media, a whistleblower, questions from the regulator and a share price on the move. By the end, the board must agree a public statement and three concrete actions, which are scored for their impact on customers, employees, regulators, shareholders and public trust. It's a fast, absorbing way to explore what leaders must decide when AI goes wrong.

  • A seat on the board with your own private brief
  • Crisis scenarios such as a biased hiring algorithm or a leak through an AI supplier
  • Live updates from the press, social media and the regulator
  • A public statement and action plan, scored by stakeholder
  • A debrief on where priorities clashed and why

Questions

What's different in the 60-minute version?

The 60-minute version has two rounds (the crisis, then your response) and a shorter debrief. The 90-minute version adds the escalation round and fuller scoring.

Is it only for senior leaders?

No. It works brilliantly for leadership teams and board away-days, but any group enjoys arguing from a role they don't normally hold.

Can the crisis match our industry?

Yes. Tell us about your sector when you book and we'll tailor the scenario.

What if we have more than eight people?

We run several boards at once, each with its own host, and compare their decisions at the end.

How does a hosted virtual game work?

Everyone joins your usual video call. We split the group into teams of up to 10, each in its own breakout room with a dedicated host who shares the game on screen and types in the answers the team agrees on. A live leaderboard keeps the competition going.

How far ahead do we need to book?

At least 48 hours ahead, Monday to Friday. Same-day sessions are sometimes possible on request: book as usual and we will confirm as quickly as we can.

Is there a minimum or maximum group size?

There is no maximum. The minimum booking is £150 + VAT, so groups under 13 people pay the minimum.
