About the game

The office's ancient Productivity Engine is overheating, and only one person can see it.

Each round, one team member is the Operator and sees the control panel: wires, dials, a keypad and blinking lights. Everyone else has the repair manual on their own phone or laptop, and none of them can see the panel. The Operator describes what's on screen, and the rest of the team works out what to do.

The Operator role rotates every module, so the quieter members of the team get their turn too. It's the only game where team members see different things on their own devices, so communication really is the puzzle, and it works perfectly in breakout rooms.

What to expect

  • One Operator who sees the panel, and a team with the manual
  • A new Operator every module, so everyone takes a turn
  • Wires, dials, keypads and blinking lights to describe and solve
  • Clear communication under friendly pressure
  • A live leaderboard against the other teams

Questions

What does everyone need?

Each person needs their own phone or laptop to open the manual, as well as the video call.

What if someone is shy?

The Operator role rotates every module, so everyone gets a turn, and the team is there to help them through it.

How does a hosted virtual game work?

Everyone joins your usual video call. We split the group into teams of up to 10, each in its own breakout room with a dedicated host who shares the game on screen and types in the answers the team agrees on. A live leaderboard keeps the competition going.

How far ahead do we need to book?

At least 48 hours ahead, Monday to Friday. Same-day sessions are sometimes possible on request: book as usual and we will confirm as quickly as we can.

Is there a minimum or maximum group size?

There is no maximum. The minimum booking is £150 + VAT, so groups under 13 people pay the minimum.
