About the game

The valley is in drought, and every team runs a village that draws water from the same reservoir.

Taking more water helps your village grow faster. But if the teams together take more than the rain can refill, the reservoir drops, and below a certain level every village loses.

Teams can see the water level and send messages to each other, but nobody can see what the others are taking until the round ends. The winner is the most prosperous village, as long as the valley survives. It's a game about balancing your own team's advantage against everyone's survival, and it leads to a great conversation about trust and cooperation afterwards.

What to expect

  • A shared reservoir that every team depends on
  • Round-by-round decisions about how much to take
  • Messages between villages to agree, or not, on a plan
  • The tension of seeing the water level after every round
  • A short host-led debrief on trust and cooperation

Questions

Is there a winner?

Yes: the most prosperous village wins, but only if the valley survives. If the reservoir runs dry, everyone loses.

Is it good for leadership or HR sessions?

Yes. It opens up a natural conversation about trust, fairness and cooperation, and your host can lead a short debrief at the end.

How does a hosted virtual game work?

Everyone joins your usual video call. We split the group into teams of up to 10, each in its own breakout room with a dedicated host who shares the game on screen and types in the answers the team agrees on. A live leaderboard keeps the competition going.

How far ahead do we need to book?

At least 48 hours ahead, Monday to Friday. Same-day sessions are sometimes possible on request: book as usual and we will confirm as quickly as we can.

Is there a minimum or maximum group size?

There is no maximum. The minimum booking is £150 + VAT, so groups under 13 people pay the minimum.
