About the game

Curtain up is tonight, and disaster has struck: the panto script has been torn to pieces and scattered around the theatre.

Each team takes on one scene. Solve puzzles to recover the missing pages, find out who's playing the dame, the villain and the hero, and gather the props you need.

Then it's showtime. Every team performs its scene for the whole company, with your host leading the audience through every "Oh no it isn't!" and "He's behind you!". It's silly, very British and guaranteed to get people laughing, and the performances are as long or short as your team likes.

What to expect

  • Puzzles to recover your team's scene of the script
  • Casting your dame, villain and hero
  • A performance for the whole company, as short or silly as you like
  • The audience shouts, led by your host
  • Votes for the best scene and the star of the show

Questions

Does everyone have to perform?

No. Teams decide who takes part, and anyone who'd rather not can direct, prompt or lead the audience shouts.

Do we need costumes?

Not at all, though a festive jumper or a tea towel crown always goes down well.

How does a hosted virtual game work?

Everyone joins your usual video call. We split the group into teams of up to 10, each in its own breakout room with a dedicated host who shares the game on screen and types in the answers the team agrees on. A live leaderboard keeps the competition going.

How far ahead do we need to book?

At least 48 hours ahead, Monday to Friday. Same-day sessions are sometimes possible on request: book as usual and we will confirm as quickly as we can.

Is there a minimum or maximum group size?

There is no maximum. The minimum booking is £150 + VAT, so groups under 13 people pay the minimum.
